Excited to Announce the Release of my new Book
First, thank you for being a loyal reader and subscriber to this blog. I appreciate the support you have given me over the months and years. Without you, Miraculous Ladies would not exist. Your comments, emails, shares and telephone calls keep this blog alive. You inspire me more than you can imagine.
Without rambling on, I’m excited to share my good news with you. As you know, I’ve chatted about writing my first book for months. However, talking alone doesn’t produce any results. So, I dedicated quality time to write, set myself a deadline, focused and self-published Deep Within my Soul last week. This is a massive achievement for me and a wonderful feeling.
My advice to you is if you want to do something in life, do it. Set goals and work towards achieving them. Accomplishing a task you think is hard and possibly beyond your reach is the best feeling.
Self-publishing my book was a huge challenge for me. Especially as I had to learn to format a book and understand the technical part of Microsoft Word and Create Space. To be honest, I nearly gave up a few times. It was extremely difficult. But, I developed more patience, self-control, time management and technical skills in the process. Moreover, I am happy I carried on despite the stress and endless hours I poured into this task. Now I can add self-publishing to my skills.
My new book is on Amazon and I’m super excited
Deep Within my Soul, is an autobiography and a self-help book. It’s particularly written for women who have been abused or had toxic relationships. As a result, you’re more likely to have gathered poisonous emotional baggage. Therefore, it’s vital to release the junk from your heart and soul. I call emotional baggage, the junk.
Because toxic and abusive relationships produce a build up of damaging emotions such as bitterness, anger, resentment, unforgiveness and more. Carrying those toxins securely lodged in your heart (for months or years) causes mental and physical illnesses.
Deep Within my Soul has a little of my personal abuse journey and what I did to cope during that period. In addition, the book includes some of my poems (birthed out of heartaches) useful advice to help you work through unforgiveness, writing prompts to release the junk out of your soul and much more.
My first interview as an author by Marie Abanga
Marie, a dear friend and blogger, interviewed me about my life, Deep Within my Soul and writing experiences. Below is an excerpt…
Hello World, this is the first of what I hope to often do: Profile & Interview and help promote new memoir authors! Why Memoirs? Because that’s the genre I write and it’s still a ‘shy’ genre especially, in my corner of the globe – Africa. My first author to be interviewed and profiled happens to be a dear friend and sister in Christ. I fell in love with the first of her blog posts I stumbled across – yes on the very night I was fumbling around trying to start my own blog! Her post titled «Am I a blogger or a …?» almost made me give up before I even started, and to think she’d been into blogging a good while? But then, that post ended on a note of so much hope – yes she was – yes I could become one too if I wanted and kept at it with faith.
This is what I have also gathered from reading her maiden but oh so soul-searching memoir: shared from deep within her soul and titled just that.
